Run a refund

Run a refund with your EX8000

Note: Depending on your account setup, your device may not run refunds. To turn on refunds, contact our Support Team.

 

 

  1. Tap, and then tap Main Menu.
  2. Tap Refund, and then enter the refund amount.
  3. Tap Credit/Debit Return.
  4. Type your supervisor credentials.
    1. Tap Supervisor Id, and then enter your user ID.
    2. Tap Supervisor Password, and then enter your password.
    3. Tap Login.
  5. Tap, swipe, or insert a payment card.
    OR
    To manually enter the card details:
    1. Tap Use manual input instead.
    2. Enter the card details.
    3. Tap CONFIRM.
  6. (Optional) To send a digital copy of the receipt to the customer, tap Email and Text Receipt and complete the following steps:
  • To send an email:
  1. Tap Email.
  2. Ask your customer to enter their email address.
  3. Tap Send.
  4. To return to the previous screen, tap Cancel.
  • To send an SMS:
  1. Tap Text SMS.
  2. From the Country drop-down menu, select the customer's country.
  3. Tap Mobile, and then ask your customer to enter their phone number.
  4. Tap Send.
  5. To return to the previous screen, tap Cancel.
  1. (Optional) To run another refund, tap Perform Another Refund.
  2. To return to the main menu, tap Back to Main Menu.
