Use Roc Terminal+ to run transactions on your device.

Transaction types

You can use your device to:

  • Run a credit sale.
  • Run a debit sale.
  • Void a transaction.
  • Run a refund.
  • Run a pre-authorization.
  • Capture a pre-authorization.
  • Print a presale ticket.

Run a credit sale

  1. Type the sale amount, and then tap Enter.
  2. Ask your customer to swipe, insert, or tap their card.
    • To manually enter their card details, tap Enter Manually.
  3. (Optional) Your device prompts your customer to provide the following:
    • Signature
    • Tip amount
  4. Select a receipt method.
    • To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap Print receipt.
    • To send a digital copy, enter your customer’s mobile number, and then tap SMS Receipt.

Run a debit sale

  1. Tap Credit until the screen displays Debit.
  2. Type the sale amount, and then tap Enter.
  3. Ask your customer to swipe, insert, or tap their card.
    • To manually enter their card details, tap Enter Manually.
  4. (Optional) Your device prompts your customer to provide the following:
    • Signature
    • Tip amount
    • PIN
  5. Select a receipt method.
    • To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap Print receipt.
    • To send a digital copy, enter your customer’s mobile number, and then tap SMS Receipt.

Void a transaction

Note: You can void a transaction only if it's in an open batch.

 
  1. Tap Sale until the screen displays Void.
  2. Type one of the following:
  3. Transaction number from the receipt
  4. Last four digits of the card number
  5. Tap Enter.
  6. Type the password, and then tap Enter. The default password is the last four digits of the EPI, which the device displays on the screen.
  7. Make sure that the transaction details are correct, and then tap Confirm.
  8.  Select a receipt method.
  9. To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap Print receipt.
  10. To send a digital copy, enter your customer’s mobile number, and then tap SMS Receipt.

Run a refund

  1. Tap Sale until the screen displays Refund.
  2. Type the refund amount, and then tap Enter.
  3. Ask your customer to swipe, insert, or tap their card.
  4. To manually enter their card details, tap Enter Manually.
  5. Select a receipt method.
    • To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap Print receipt.
    • To send a digital copy, enter your customer’s mobile number, and then tap SMS Receipt.

Run a pre-authorization

  1. Tap Sale until the screen displays Preauth.
  2. Type the pre-authorization amount, and then tap Enter.
  3. Ask your customer to swipe, insert, or tap their card.
  4. To manually enter their card details, tap Enter Manually.
  5. Select a receipt method.
  6. To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap Print receipt.
  7. To send a digital copy, enter your customer’s mobile number, and then tap SMS Receipt.

Capture a pre-authorization

  1. Tap Sale until the screen displays Ticket.
  2. Type the capture amount, and then tap Enter.
  3. Type the password, and then tap Enter. The default password is the last four digits of the EPI, which the device displays on the screen.
  4. Type one of the following:
    • Transaction number from the receipt
    • Last four digits of the card number
  5. (Optional) Your device prompts your customer to provide the following:
    • Signature
    • Tip amount
  6. Select a receipt method.
    • To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap Print receipt.
    • To send a digital copy, enter your customer’s mobile number, and then tap SMS Receipt.

Print a presale ticket

  1. Tap Main Menu ≡.
  2. Tap Page Down, and then tap Pre Sale.
  3. Type the presale ticket amount, and then tap Enter.
