# Newland X800 Quick Start Guide

Roc Terminal+ on an X800 device

Set up your X800 device with Roc Terminal+.

## Getting started 

### Step 1. Charge your device 

To charge your device, you can use the docking station or use a USB-C cable.

#### Use the docking station 

1. Plug the docking station into a power outlet.
2. Place your device on the docking station.

#### Use a USB-C cable 

1. Insert the USB-C cable into USB-C port on the side of your device.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into a power outlet.

### Step 2. Turn on your device 

- Press and hold the power button until the device turns on.

### Step 3. Connect your device to your wireless network 

1. From the home screen, tap **Main Menu** ≡.
2. Tap Settings, and then tap **WiFi Confi**g.
3. Tap the name of your wireless network.
4. Type the password for your wireless network.
5. Tap **Connect**.

## Troubleshooting 

### My device can’t connect to my wireless network 

- Make sure that your device is close to your router, and then try to connect your device to your network again.

### My device isn’t charging on the docking station 

- Make sure that the docking station is plugged into a power outlet and that you have correctly placed your device on the docking station.

### My device doesn’t turn on 

Complete the following steps:

1. Charge your device for at least three and a half hours.
2. Press and hold the power button for four seconds.

### My navigation bar has disappeared 

1. To bring back the navigation bar, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
2. To hide the navigation bar again, from the bottom-left of the screen, tap ![Down arrow](https://support.payroc.com/assets/ad3fd50907b72161.png).
