# Run a pre-authorization on your Roc Terminal+ device

Roc Terminal+ on N950, N950-S, and X800 devices

1. Tap **Sale** until the screen displays **Preauth**.
2. Type the pre-authorization amount, and then tap **Enter**.
3. Ask your customer to swipe, insert, or tap their card.
   - To manually enter their card details, tap **Enter Manually.**
4. Select a receipt method.
   - To print a physical copy of the receipt, tap **Print Receipt**.
   - To send a digital copy of the receipt, enter your customer's mobile number, and then tap **SMS Receipt**.
