# Share a payment link

Self-Care Portal

> **Note:** You can’t share an expired payment link or a single-use payment link that a customer has used. For more information about the status of your payment link, go to [View your payment links](https://support.payroc.com/en-US/core-products/payroc-gateway/web-portal/payment-links/view-your-payment-links.md).

You can use our Self-Care Portal to email a payment link, or you can use the link's assets we create in your own software to share the link.

If you use our Self-Care Portal to email a payment link, you can view the sharing event and the link's sharing history. If you use your own software to share a payment link, the sharing event won't appear in the share history.

## Email the payment link 

1. Sign in to [payments.payroc.com/merchant/selfcare/](https://payments.payroc.com/merchant/selfcare/).
2. From the side menu, select **Customers**, and then select **PayByLink**.
3. Locate the payment link that you want to share.
4. From the Action column, select ![More options](https://support.payroc.com/assets/b6cd89ef4d3a5d99.png), and then select **Share Payment Link**.
5. Enter the name and email address of the recipient, and then select **ADD**.
6. (Optional) To add other recipients, enter their name and email address, and then select **ADD**.
7. From the Message box, enter a message that we include in the email.
8. (Optional) To receive a copy of the email, select **Send a copy to myself**.
9. (Optional) To preview the email before you send it, select **PREVIEW**.
10. Select **SHARE**.

## Copy an asset for the payment link 

1. Sign in to [payments.payroc.com/merchant/selfcare/](https://payments.payroc.com/merchant/selfcare/).
2. From the side menu, select Customers, and then select **PayByLink**.
3. Locate the payment link that you want to share.
4. From the Action column, select ![More options](https://support.payroc.com/assets/b6cd89ef4d3a5d99.png), and then select **Link Assets**.
5. Copy the Payment Link URL or the Payment Link HTML button.
